Why We Built This Site
Illinois provides several forms of public access, but no single office keeps the whole story. Sheriff files concern incidents, arrests, and jail activity. The Stephenson County Circuit Clerk maintains charges and dispositions. Illinois State Police supplies conviction information through CHIRP and personal access-and-review procedures, while IDOC and the state registry answer separate custody and registration questions. We arrange those distinct channels without merging them into one supposed record.

- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every published phone number, fee, or address remains current
Only the Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police, or another issuing agency can provide its official record. The document must come from that custodian.
